A Muslim with any type of visa in Saudi Arabia can now perform the holy Umrah. The country’s authorities have announced this by relaxing Umrah-related policies.
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Affairs said in a post on X (formerly Twitter), ‘A pilgrim from any country can perform the holy Umrah easily and comfortably with any visa.’
According to the ministry, all types of visa holders including personal, family, transit, labor, e-visa will come under this new facility in performing Umrah.
The ministry said, ‘Irrespective of your visa type, you can perform Umrah.’
Authorities have encouraged those interested in obtaining permission to perform Umrah to use the Nusuk app. The app is asked to specify when a Muslim wants to perform Umrah in the Holy Masjid al-Haram.
