Emeritus Professor Syed Manjurul Islam thinks that the youth of the people of the country should be retained. He said, “If the youth of the mind cannot be retained, the country will grow old.” I myself have reached old age. But old age is one thing, and old age of the mind is another. May we not become old in mind. The family of ink and pen is appearing to everyone with the wealth of youth through literature and art.
Syed Manjurul Islam, President of the editorial board of Kali O Kalam, said these things in the President’s speech at the event organized on the occasion of ‘Kali O Kalam Tarun Kavi O Ukritar Puraskar 2023’ dedicated to IFIC Bank. Kali O Kalam, a monthly magazine dealing with literature, art and culture, organized this event at Bengal Shilpalaya in Dhanmondi in the capital on Saturday evening. Yesterday was the last day of this two-day event.
Prime Minister’s Advisor on Education and Culture Poet Kamal Abdul Nasser Chowdhury, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of IFIC Bank Shah Alam Sarwar, Publisher of Kali O Kalam magazine Abul Khair and Editor Subrata Barua spoke on the occasion.
